About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Brent. This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with students, supporting their learning and development in a diverse and inclusive school environment. While experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable, we are open to applicants with a passion for education and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to teachers and students, ensuring a positive learning environment
- Assist students in their academic and social development, including 1:1 and small group support
- Support children with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum and meet their individual goals
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons and activities
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions among students
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment that promotes inclusion and respect
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant role is preferred
- Experience working with children with SEN is desirable, but not essential
- A patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- A commitment to supporting the well-being and development of all students
- Relevant qualifications such as a Teaching Assistant Certificate (Level 2/3) or equivalent are advantageous
