The school has been rated “Good” by Ofsted and is known for its supportive leadership team, positive learning environment, and strong sense of community. Staff are valued and encouraged to develop professionally, making this an ideal setting for both experienced teachers and those looking to grow in their careers.

The Role

You will be responsible for teaching a Year 3 class within a two-form entry structure, working collaboratively with a parallel class teacher to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback to support development
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, including SEND and EAL
Work collaboratively with year group partners, support staff, and senior leaders
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including meetings, events, and extracurricular activities where appropriate

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
Excellent classroom management skills
A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all pupils
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong communication and organisational skills
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Benefits:

Competitive salary in line with MPS/UPS, depending on experience
Opportunity to secure a long-term role extending into the next academic year
Supportive and experienced senior leadership team
Collaborative working environment within a two-form entry structure
Access to high-quality resources and planning support
Opportunities for professional development and career progression
Well-behaved and motivated pupils who are eager to learn

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving school community in Harrow and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development.
