About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play a key role in raising attainment and supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage and challenge students
• Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
• Participate in parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and school events
• Support extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or drama productions

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree in English or a related subject
• Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
