About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play a key role in raising attainment and supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage and challenge students
- Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Participate in parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and school events
- Support extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or drama productions
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in English or a related subject
- Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
