  • Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resources

  • Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Communicate effectively with teachers and SEN staff regarding pupil progress

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with SEN (ASD and/or ADHD desirable)

  • Be confident working within a mainstream classroom setting

  • Demonstrate a calm, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be flexible and able to adapt to different learning and behavioural needs

  • Work well as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Requirements

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Availability to start immediately

  • Clear guidance from experienced teachers and SEN professionals

  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in SEN support

  • A rewarding role making a real difference to pupils’ education and wellbeing
