We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Lewisham on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN professional or a passionate teacher looking to specialise further in Special Educational Needs.
The Role:
- Teaching pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and/or learning difficulties
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring progress and adapting strategies to support pupil development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification)
- Have experience working with children with SEN (school-based or specialist setting)
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Be patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
- Be committed to making a positive impact on pupils’ learning and wellbeing
