A high-achieving secondary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated English Teacher who is passionate about literature, language and developing pupils’ written and verbal communication. Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature lessons using consistent routines and explicit instruction

• Support pupils in developing strong reading, writing and analytical abilities

• Contribute to a carefully planned and knowledge-led English curriculum

• Provide clear feedback that supports pupil mastery and long-term progress

• Maintain a calm, scholarly classroom environment aligned with school systems

• Engage fully with departmental collaboration and professional development

Requirements

• Strong academic background in English or a related humanities discipline

• Clear communication, confident presence and enthusiasm for engaging young learners

• Strong interest in literature, textual analysis and language development

• Commitment to adopting the school’s structured pedagogical methods

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a high-expectation team environment

• QTS desirable but not required for academically strong candidates
