A high-achieving secondary school in Harrow is looking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable English Teacher to join their dynamic English department. The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and staff support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4

• Plan lessons that are engaging, challenging, and accessible to all learners

• Mark work consistently and provide constructive feedback

• Monitor pupil progress and implement intervention strategies where needed

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental meetings

• Support whole-school initiatives and enrichment activities

Requirements:

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school

• Strong subject knowledge and passion for English

• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities

• Strong behaviour management skills

• Enhanced DBS clearance required
