Part-Time PPA Cover Teacher – Mainstream Primary School (Hammersmith)
Location: Hammersmith, West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Part-time, 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)About the Role
Educate Staffing is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time PPA Cover Teacher to support a busy mainstream primary school in Hammersmith. This is a flexible role covering EYFS to KS2 classes as needed, providing high-quality teaching and learning while class teachers take their PPA time.
The successful candidate will be adaptable, confident, and able to step into different classrooms, delivering lessons across a variety of subjects and key stages. This is an immediate start role, ideal for someone looking for regular part-time work in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 depending on the daily requirements.
Cover PPA time for class teachers, following existing plans and school schemes of work.
Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment.
Support children’s learning and well-being during your teaching sessions.
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to suit different age groups and abilities.
Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff about pupils’ progress and behaviour.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching across EYFS to KS2 (preferred but not essential).
Ability to deliver engaging, structured lessons and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Flexible, adaptable, and confident in working with different year groups.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through the agency.
Right to work in the UK.
Availability to start ASAP for Tues, Weds, Thurs each week.
