We are working with a welcoming and supportive secondary academy in the West London/Ealing area to recruit a proactive and organised Cover Manager to join their team as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress within the education sector. Previous postholders have successfully moved into teacher training roles, making this an ideal position for aspiring educators.
Role Details
Full-time, term-time only
Hours: 7am–3pm, Monday to Friday (non-negotiable)
Includes term-time work, professional development days, and attendance on pre-results and results days in August
Salary: £28,553 per annum (already pro-rata’d and reflective of actual pay). Final salary point negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily cover arrangements for staff absence
Proactively organise and oversee smooth cover operations across the school day
Deliver lessons in the secondary phase where required
Maintain clear communication with staff and uphold efficient systems
Skills & Experience
Educated to Level 3 (A-level/NVQ) or equivalent (desirable)
GCSE English and Maths at Grade C / 4 or above
A proactive, early-rising self-starter with excellent communication skills
Ability to stay calm and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
School experience is beneficial but not essential – full training provided
