Job Title: Primary Teacher
Job Type: 8 am – 4pm
Location: Croydon
Salary: £140- £210 Per day
The Role: Primary Teacher – Croydon
As a Primary Teacher, you’ll be teaching a Year 3 Class playing a vital role in shaping the learning journey of pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons that inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and promote a lifelong love of learning.
You will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and motivated to achieve their full potential. Through strong classroom management, high expectations, and thoughtful differentiation, you will support all learners to make excellent progress — academically, socially, and emotionally.
A Primary Teacher you will be expected to:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress regularly, using data to inform planning and next steps.
- Differentiate teaching and learning activities to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants, phase leaders, and subject coordinators, to share best practice and ensure a consistent approach across the school.
- Establish and maintain strong communication with parents and carers, offering regular updates on progress and involving them in the learning journey.
- Contributing to curriculum planning, resource development, and whole-school improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, behaviour, and attendance, in line with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications and requirements – Primary Teacher – Croydon
- QTS is required
- Enhanced DBS is required
- Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
