Salary: £140 - £200 a day

The Role: Geography Teacher – Tower Hamlets

You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both GCSE and A Level Geography, inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of the subject and a curiosity about the world around them. You will be working in with a dynamic and supportive team, passionate about the subject and committed to achieving the very best for every student. With a strong track record of success at both GCSE and A Level, the department fosters a culture of high expectations and enjoyment of learning. Teachers work closely together to share resources, develop best practice, and provide a rich and engaging curriculum

As a Geography Teacher will be expected to:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that stretch and challenge students of all abilities.
• Teaching Geography at GCSE and A Level, ensuring strong progress and excellent outcomes.
• Preparing students effectively for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Using a wide range of teaching methods and resources to bring geographical concepts to life, both in the classroom and through fieldwork opportunities.
• Contributing to curriculum development within the department and supporting the continual improvement of teaching and learning.
• Taking part in departmental and whole-school initiatives, including enrichment activities and trips.

Qualifications and requirements – Geography Teacher – Tower Hamlets

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience teaching Geography up to A levels
• A deep understanding of the geography curriculum and exam board requirements
• A reflective, innovative approach to teaching and learning
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of every student
