Job Title: KS2 Teacher

Job Type: 8 am – 4pm, September Start

Location: Waltham Forest

Salary: £140- £210 Per day

The Role: KS2 Teacher – Waltham Forest

As a KS2 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for the teaching and learning of a KS2 class, ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing pupil progress regularly, using data to inform next steps and personalise learning. Working in a committed teaching team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to share planning, ideas, and resources, and contribute to a strong culture of professional reflection and development.

The role also involves establishing positive relationships with pupils and parents, maintaining clear communication, and contributing to a supportive and nurturing classroom environment. You will play an active role in wider school life, including extracurricular activities, assemblies, and enrichment events that help build our vibrant and inclusive school community.

A KS2 Teacher you will be expected to:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that meet the requirements of the KS2 national curriculum
• Differentiate teaching to meet the varying needs and abilities of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, and high prior attainment
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations for learning and behaviour
• Use a range of formative and summative assessment methods to monitor progress and inform planning
• Set and mark homework in line with school policy to consolidate and extend learning
• Track and record pupil progress and provide accurate reports to parents, carers, and school leaders
• Support pupils’ emotional, social, and personal development in line with the school’s ethos and values
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects

Qualifications and requirements – KS2 Teacher – Waltham Forest

• QTS is required
• Enhanced DBS is required
• Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
