Salary: £140 - £200 a day

The Role: English Teacher – Redbridge  

You will deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive English department that values creativity, academic rigour, and teamwork.

You will be working in a forward-thinking and inclusive school with excellent facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, a dedicated library, and access to digital learning tools, offering regular theatre visits, author workshops, creative writing clubs, and cultural trips to enhance learning beyond the classroom. A English Teacher will be expected to:

• Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills across KS3 – KS4 classes
• Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive learning environment.
• Establish rules and expectations for student behaviour in both classroom and experiment settings.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.

Qualifications and requirements – English Teacher – Redbridge

• Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in English or a related subject.
• A strong subject knowledge and passion for English language and literature.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to high expectations, both academically and behaviourally.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4
