Part-Time PPA Teacher – EYFS/KS1 – Watford
Position: PPA Cover Teacher (EYFS/KS1)
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Working Days: 3 to 4 days per week
Hours: 8:30am – 3:45pm
Contract Type: Part-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: Competitive daily rate, based on experienceWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Watford. This is a part-time position covering EYFS and Key Stage 1 classes, with no planning or marking responsibilities. The role is ideal for a committed professional looking to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing meaningfully to pupils’ early education.
Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS and KS1 classes to cover teacher PPA time
Ensure a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment
Build positive relationships with pupils and support their academic and personal development
Follow the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
Liaise with class teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning
Adapt lessons as needed to meet the needs of individual learners
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
Recent experience teaching in EYFS and/or KS1 in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to covering a range of classes
Strong understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum and safeguarding responsibilities
