Job Type: 8:30am -4pm, September Start

Location: Redbridge

Salary: £96-£115 Per day

The Role: Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Redbridge

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers in a Secondary School to support students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and emotional or behavioural challenges. You’ll provide both one-to-one and small group support, helping to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential. Your empathy, patience, and commitment will help build strong relationships and boost student confidence inside and outside the classroom.

A Special Needs Teaching Assistant will be expected to:

• Provide tailored support to students with EHCPs and additional learning needs
• Work closely with teaching staff to adapt lesson materials and classroom strategies
• Foster a safe and encouraging atmosphere for learning
• Assist in monitoring student progress and providing feedback to staff and parents
• Support students with personal care needs, where applicable
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in staff training

Qualifications and requirements – Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Redbridge

• Experience in a similar role
• Experience working with SEND needs
• Enhanced DBS is required
• Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
