The Role: History Teacher – Wandsworth  

As a History Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that bring history to life, encouraging critical thinking, analysis, and curiosity. You will foster a learning environment that challenges students to explore historical events, themes, and perspectives, while developing their skills in research, debate, and written communication.

A History Teacher will be expected to:

• Deliver stimulating and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan schemes of work and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages enquiry and respect for different viewpoints.
• Support students in preparing for examinations and coursework.
• Contribute to the wider school life, including extracurricular activities, trips, and history-related events.

• Ability to work to deadlines
• Strong written and communication skills
• Strong ICT knowledge
