Job Type: Full Time - 10am - 6pm

Overview

We are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a inclusive nursery team and support the growth and development of young children. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and a passion for creating a safe and inclusive environment for children to learn and play.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
• Supporting children with their personal care needs, including feeding and changing
• Observing and documenting children's progress and behavior
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
• Communicating effectively with parents and other staff members

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A compassionate and patient approach to working with young children

Day-to-day

As a Nursery Assistant, you will spend your days supporting the lead teacher in implementing learning activities, interacting with children, and ensuring their safety and well-being. You will have the opportunity to observe and document children's development and progress, as well as communicate with parents about their child's day.
