Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Type: Full time ASAP Start, 8:15am -4pm
Location: Manchester

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join a team who prides themselves of working as a team. This role will be working in a SEN Provision with a collaborative team of Teaching Assistants providing fantastic support.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist the classroom teacher in adapting and implementing learning activities to meet the needs of students with SEN.
- Support students with their personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance.
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Experience working in a SEN provision is ideal.
- Previous experience in 1:1 support is ideal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and understanding attitude towards students with diverse learning needs.
Day-to-day
- Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
- Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning materials.
- Collaborating with the classroom teacher and SENCO to support students' individual education plans.
- Supporting students with personal care needs and facilitating their participation in classroom activities.
