Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Outreach Teaching Assistant to support the educational needs of students with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in KS3 Maths and English and will be experienced in providing support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN in KS3 Maths and English.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans for students.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and specialist staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in KS3 Maths and English.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Understanding of inclusive education practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Day-to-day
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to plan and deliver tailored interventions for students with SEN.
- Provide feedback and progress updates to the teaching team.
- Adapt teaching and support strategies to meet the unique needs of individual students.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to student progress tracking and support planning.
