Pay: £100–£110 per dayEducate Staffing is recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wembley from September.
This full-time, long-term role will involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs across EYFS or Key Stage 1, depending on experience and school requirements. The school is looking for a confident, reliable individual who can build positive relationships with pupils and contribute to all aspects of school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning and support strategies.
- Assist with behaviour management and engagement within the classroom.
- Support pupils during enrichment activities, educational visits, and swimming sessions.
- Accompany pupils to changing facilities and provide appropriate supervision where required.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEN setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
- Confidence supporting pupils across a range of school activities, including swimming provision and changing-room supervision where necessary.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
