Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm

About the Role:
Our agency is currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to work at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Ealing. This is a full-time position supporting the day-to-day maintenance and smooth running of the school site.

The ideal candidate will have previous school caretaking or facilities experience and must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the school premises and grounds are safe, secure, and well maintained.
Carry out basic maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and general site upkeep.
Perform routine health and safety checks across the site.
Support with opening/locking the premises where required.
Set up classrooms, halls, and equipment for school activities or events.
Monitor the condition of the building and report maintenance issues.
Assist with waste management and keeping outdoor areas tidy.
Liaise with contractors and school staff regarding maintenance needs.
Ensure the environment remains safe and suitable for pupils with additional needs.

Requirements:

Valid Enhanced DBS certificate (essential).
Previous experience in school caretaking, site management, or facilities work (preferred).
Good practical maintenance and DIY skills.
Understanding of health and safety procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
