Year 3 Teacher | Hounslow

We are delighted to support a friendly and inclusive 2-form entry mainstream primary school in Hounslow, seeking an experienced Year 3 Teacher to join their team from the end of February. This is a full-time, ongoing position (5 days per week), offering a rewarding opportunity to lead a Year 3 class within a supportive and well-resourced school.

The school has a positive staff culture, a strong leadership team, and a clear focus on high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional who can deliver engaging lessons, manage a full classroom independently, and contribute positively to the wider school community.

About the Role

As the Year 3 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a mixed-ability class in line with the KS2 National Curriculum. You will ensure that all pupils make excellent progress academically, socially, and emotionally, and will maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons across all curriculum areas

  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress

  • Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment

  • Supporting the pastoral and social development of all pupils

  • Collaborating effectively with the parallel Year 3 teacher, support staff, and phase leaders

  • Contributing to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school initiatives

  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and school matters

  • Performing all other usual teacher responsibilities, including duties and safeguarding responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Substantial experience teaching in UK primary schools, specifically Year 3/KS2

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Year 3 curriculum

  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons for a diverse range of pupils

  • A proactive, flexible, and professional approach

  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

  • Right to work in the UK

The School Offers:

  • A welcoming and collaborative 2-form entry school environment

  • Pupils who are motivated, well-behaved, and eager to learn

  • A supportive and approachable senior leadership team

  • Access to shared resources and collaborative planning opportunities

  • Focus on staff development and wellbeing

Benefits of the Role:

  • Ongoing, full-time position starting end of February

  • Competitive pay on the main teacher pay scale (dependent on experience)

  • Opportunity to join a high-quality mainstream school and contribute to a strong Year 3 team

  • Support from an experienced education recruitment consultant throughout the placement

This role is ideal for an experienced Year 3 teacher looking for a stable, rewarding, and long-term teaching position in Hounslow.
