Part-Time Interventions Teacher
Primary School – Hanwell, Ealing
Start Date: January
Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, WednesdayOur agency is working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in Hanwell, Ealing, to recruit an experienced and effective Interventions Teacher for a part-time position starting in January. This role is ideally suited to a qualified primary teacher seeking a focused, pupil-progress–driven role without the demands of full classroom responsibility. Highly skilled HLTAs with strong intervention experience are also encouraged to apply.
The school is committed to raising attainment and ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed. As an Interventions Teacher, you will play a central role in delivering structured learning support to small groups across the school, helping to close attainment gaps and reinforce key skills in English and mathematics.

Deliver high-quality, targeted intervention sessions to small groups of pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
Support pupils who require reinforcement, consolidation, or catch-up support in core subjects.
Work collaboratively with class teachers, phase leaders, and the SENCO to identify groups, track progress, and prioritise learning objectives.
Deliver pre-prepared materials and resources; no planning is required, though professional judgement in delivery will be important.
Complete only brief marking, focused on core misconceptions, next steps, and consolidation.
Maintain accurate notes on pupil engagement and progress to support ongoing assessment discussions.
Foster a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and positive working habits.
Contribute effectively as part of the wider school support structure, while working with autonomy throughout the day.
Candidate Requirements
QTS is preferred, with strong primary curriculum knowledge and experience delivering effective small-group support.
Experienced HLTAs with a proven track record of interventions delivery will be considered.
Strong behaviour management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow school systems while independently managing intervention groups.
Confidence delivering literacy and numeracy support following school frameworks.
Reliable, professional, and committed to improving outcomes for pupils.
Must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undergo full vetting and safeguarding checks through the agency.
Role Benefits
A streamlined role with no planning and minimal marking requirements.
A well-organised timetable provided by the school, ensuring clarity and consistency day-to-day.
Supportive leadership team and collaborative teaching staff who value intervention work.
Opportunity to make a measurable impact on pupil progress.
Part-time structure (Monday–Wednesday) providing work–life balance and stability.
Competitive daily rates paid through the agency, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
Ongoing support from your dedicated agency consultant.
To express your interest in this role or to request further details, please submit your CV. A consultant will be in touch to discuss your experience and arrange next steps with the school.
