Humanities Teacher

A successful secondary school in Brent is seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to teach subjects such as History, Geography or Religious Studies. The school’s structured approach creates an environment where teachers can teach effectively and pupils can thrive.

Responsibilities

• Teach high-quality Humanities lessons following a knowledge-rich curriculum

• Promote academic curiosity, critical thinking and strong written communication

• Use routine, structure and clear modelling to support pupil understanding

• Provide feedback that drives long-term retention and progress

• Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative planning

• Support school values and maintain a calm, focused classroom atmosphere

Requirements

• Strong academic background in a Humanities-related degree

• Excellent communication, confidence and the ability to engage pupils

• Enthusiasm for subject knowledge and academic scholarship

• Openness to adopting the school’s structured, evidence-informed teaching approach

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset

• QTS welcomed but not essential for highly knowledgeable candidates
