We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in a stimulating and inclusive classroom. You will be responsible for ensuring that all pupils make excellent progress, developing their skills, knowledge, and confidence, and fostering a love of learning.Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, using a range of formative and summative assessments to inform teaching.
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
Support the pastoral care of pupils, promoting social, emotional, and personal development.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum, share good practice, and contribute to school initiatives.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Person Specification / Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Early Years (preferred)
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, assessment, and reporting procedures
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A commitment to inclusive education and raising standards for all pupils
Enthusiasm, energy, and the ability to inspire and motivate children
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and reflective approach to professional practice
