The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in a stimulating and inclusive classroom. You will be responsible for ensuring that all pupils make excellent progress, developing their skills, knowledge, and confidence, and fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

• Monitor and assess pupil progress, using a range of formative and summative assessments to inform teaching.

• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.

• Support the pastoral care of pupils, promoting social, emotional, and personal development.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum, share good practice, and contribute to school initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress.

• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification / Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Early Years (preferred)

• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, assessment, and reporting procedures

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• A commitment to inclusive education and raising standards for all pupils

• Enthusiasm, energy, and the ability to inspire and motivate children

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and reflective approach to professional practice
