Job Type: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Location: Southwark
Salary: £160–£210 Per DayThe Role: Geography Teacher – Southwark
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Southwark, teaching Key Stage 3 students. This full-time position offers the opportunity to inspire young learners in a supportive and well-resourced humanities department.
As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons, developing pupils' understanding of physical and human geography, and fostering an appreciation for the world around them. The successful candidate will have a strong classroom presence and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
A Geography Teacher will be expected to:
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to KS3 Geography students
• Engage pupils in a range of topics including map skills, environmental issues, climate, and global development
• Differentiate lesson content to support students of varying abilities
• Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policy
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking
• Work collaboratively with the humanities department and contribute to curriculum development
• Support students with varying needs, including those with SEN or EALQualifications and requirements – Geography Teacher – Southwark
• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification is essential
• Strong subject knowledge in Geography and experience teaching KS3
• Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive teaching style
• Experience supporting a diverse student population, including SEN and EAL learners
• A commitment to student progress and academic achievement
• Strong communication and organisational skills
