Job Title: PPA Cover Teacher
Job Type: 8am – 4pm
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £140- £170 Per day
The Role: PPA Cover Teacher – Tower Hamlets
As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across a range of subjects to release class teachers for their PPA time. You will also be expected to lead PE lessons, where you will promote teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong love of sport and physical activity. You will follow school planning, adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, and create a positive environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially, and physically. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys variety and making a difference across the whole school.
As a PPA Cover Teacher you will be expected to:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across a range of subjects as part of PPA cover
- Plan and teach engaging, inclusive PE lessons that build skills, confidence, and enjoyment
- Adapt teaching and resources to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
- Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a purposeful learning environment
- Assess and record pupil progress in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and whole-school priorities
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including clubs, events, and extracurricular activities
- Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
Qualifications and requirements – PPA Cover Teacher – Tower Hamlets
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching across the primary age range
- Confidence in teaching and leading PE
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly across different year groups
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and a commitment to inclusive education
