You will be working closely with children who have a range of special educational needs and play a key role in helping them reach their potential.

About the Role:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • Global Developmental Delay (GDD)

  • Mild Learning Difficulties

  • Challenging Behaviour

• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCO and other professionals to implement tailored support strategies

• Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning

• Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual pupils’ needs

• Monitor progress and support social, emotional, and behavioural development

• Contribute to the creation of an inclusive, respectful and stimulating classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in a school, nursery, or similar setting)

• A calm, empathetic, and encouraging approach to working with children

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
