Teaching Assistant – Barnet – September Start (Trial ASAP)

Location: Barnet, North London
Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2025 (Trial ASAP)
Daily Rate: £96 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Long-term
DBS: Enhanced DBS required

Are you a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in children's education? Educate Staffing is currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet, starting this September, with trial days taking place ASAP.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either experienced in education or a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in the classroom.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education

  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of learning activities

  • Working with pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to boost attainment

  • Helping manage classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN experience is a plus)

  • Supervising students during non-classroom activities, including lunchtimes and school trips

  • Working closely with the SENCO and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions


What We're Looking For:

  • A committed, reliable, and enthusiastic individual

  • Experience working with children (school, tutoring, youth work, volunteering etc.)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their best

  • Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with children and staff

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school

  • Must have an Enhanced DBS 


Ideal Candidate May Also Have:

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)

  • A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3, or a degree in education/psychology)

  • A desire to pursue a long-term career in education or teaching
