Job Title: Learning Mentor
Job Type: 8:30am - 4pm
Location: Redbridge
Salary: £96-£110 Per DayThe Role: Learning Mentor – Redbridge
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students' academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing. Working across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will provide targeted mentoring to help students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and stay engaged in their education. Your role will include delivering 1:1 support, leading small-group interventions, and working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and improve student outcomes. You will also help students set achievable goals, monitor progress, and develop essential life and study skills, all within a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

A Learning Mentor will be expected to:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring for students across Year 7 – Year 11.
• Support students with goal-setting, time management, and motivation.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with teaching staff, Heads of Year, and pastoral teams to track and support progress.
• Encourage students to develop resilience, confidence, and self-awareness.Qualifications and requirements – Learning Mentor – Redbridge
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Understanding of barriers to learning and how to overcome them
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
